397 frame flex measurement

My flex is measured at 1/4 inch by the dealer. What is the acceptable range? up to 1/2 inch? I have no excessive flex signs. I looked but did not find it (I figured it would come up right away given the amount of past discussion on the topic).

The dealer is doing it as per the instructions from Grand Design.
