50 Amp Right Angle Adapter

Does anyone use a right angle adapter at the input to their trailer? It would seem the heavy 50 amp power cord would put a lot of stress on that receptacle without one so was curious if any forum members recommend them or have had any issues. Thanks!

I bought one. It would not stay connected

Well . . . isn't that interesting !
I had one of these in my hand at Camping World . . . and then thought to myself "you have to stop buying things to solve problems you don't have :)".
We have never had a problem with our direct 50 amp cord plug in.

I use one too.

Has been fine for over 3 years.

I had one on my old camper and wouldn't do without it. I can't get it to work on the Grand Design. The installation of the shore power inlet made the 90 degree go up instead of down and if I try to rotate the inlet, the bumper interferes with the twist and it won't go straight down.

I thought I'd seen one that was strictly like an plug - not like a dogbone - but I've not been able to find it.

That's the one that looks like a dog bone. I though someone previously had posted one they was like a adapter plug.

The plug on our 380 is on the side wall., so a plug would be great if o can find one. My power cord has already been replaced once.

I did find a right angle extension cord but it is very pricey $300 +

Yes, they sure are. That's why I think I'll invest in the right angle adapter, which is approximately $40 on Amazon.

I agree with your decision !!! I was shocked when I saw the price of the cord

Not surprising since a regular 50 amp cord will cost almost $300 at CW. Of course you can get most anything they offer for much less on-line.....
