Does anyone on this forum live fulltime in an Rv Park? We've been on the road for 5 yrs and do not want a stick & bricks again but want somewhere to call home. Still wanting to travel just want a space to call ours. Any suggestions on nice long term parks in southern Texas or Central Florida that are nice safe and friendly.
Thanks Tara

We’re in Majestic Oaks RV Resort in Zephyrhills Fl and are quite happy here. We live in a park model and have the RV for summer trips so we can go back where the family is and visit when it is so frightfully hot here. There are about 80 units with people who stay year ‘round, the rest are snowbirds. Everyone is plenty friendly. We have had a few problems with people stealing small items, and few bicycles but it is nothing more than any other place I have heard of. We have recently got a trespass agreement with the local police so anyone who is not a registered guest can be arrested just for being on the property.

Check out the Escapees Co-ops. No park models, but many have one large rig that is permanently parked and a smaller one for traveling. We are lease-holders at The Ranch, which is between Carlsbad and Roswell, NM. When we left last week there were two lots available, one of which is very close to ours. There will be a couple more lots coming up later this year.

Thank you everyone for the info. The exact info we were looking for. Will check out both areas. We have Been to each of those area and very nice .
Thanks Tara

Looking at relocating to NM. Does that part of the state get bad dust storms?

No. Windy, yes. We'll be back at The Ranch probably the second week of February. Come see us.

We have friends & family in a "RV Resort" in Peoria AZ (Sun City). Its called a RV Resort, at least 80% of it is mobile homes? We hear the rent went up 8% for 2024.

There are RV's setup full time there. Even one 5th wheel that was enclosed and stucco added for permanent.

We've come across a few of those "dug in" permanent RV-cationers campgrounds too. Have seen everything from full wrap around decks, personal gardens, sheds, carports, etc.

Imagine we will be seeing a lot more of them now that people need places to park their RVs they purchased during COVID.

Look up The Great Outdoors RV and Golf Resort in Titusville, FL.

Been here 15+ years. You own your lot/RV pad/house/casita/single or double wide; just pay the fees for a list of amenities that seem endless.

24 hour manned gated security and no one visits you without you getting a text once the guard approves them for entry (and upon your pre-approval). Spend as much or as little as you like as you choose which zone you want to live in (among the 1600 lots).

I can do pages and pages on this place. Just go to these websites....

I won't even cary on about all the neat rocket launches viewable from here....

oh - sorry - this isn't a 55+ place. I think we have about 8 children who live here. You hardly ever see them - nice folks.

We are currently in Bit-Of-Heaven RV and Mobile home in Donna Texas

Not much further south in Texas.

We just arrived earlier this week, but so far we are liking it here

We currently have a lot in Riverbend Golf and RV in Brownsville, TX, we spend 4 to 6 months here and then on the road the rest of the year. There are people that stat all year, RV's, Park Models and Houses.

Park Place Estate Mobile home and RV park, Harlingen, Texas, 55+ community. We are here now on our way to South Padre Island,Texas. It’s a nice gated community split about 50% rv/park model mobile homes. Lots of volunteers and activities. Lot of winter Texans.

I hope a lot of them get put up on blocks somewhere permanent. I'm getting tired of having to reserve spots 6 months or more ahead of arrival. I fondly remember going out on the road with no reservations whatsoever and 99% of the time getting a spot whenever, wherever we needed it. I guess CG owners are happy, but I'm not. lol
