I am looking at 5G routers. They say GL.iNet and Pepwave are decent.

Any other options that would be better?

Also, we have a TravelFi router in our new RV ( If we ever get it). I assume the router is proprietary?

The GL.iNet routers are solid. We have several in my family. I also have Travlfi, it has worked well for me.

Thanks for the info. I am going to keep looking at TravelFi. Does the unit use an Antenna on the roof?

We use a portable router with several MIMO antennas that uses T-Mobile, Verizon, ATT, and US Cellular. The company is Connecten. They have been great to work with. We pay $69/mo for 100GB and $99/mo gets you 350GB. Would highly recommend. We just keep it plugged in and it automatically connects to the strongest carrier.

There’s a small WiFi/cell antenna on our 344M (pretty close to where router was placed). The TravelFi router also does WAN over WiFi and cell just like the peplink and it seems to work fine. The gui is a little clunky to configure but no different than the peplink. I’ve used the router with Starlink as prime and cell as backup and it worked without issue. However, more work than it’s worth IMHO since the Starlink router and service is fine on its own.

I did have to log into the router to get it into the correct mode otherwise they're on cell as prime. They also looped an Ethernet patch cable from a switch port over to the LAN port which was pointless. So double check the setup when you get the rig.

I bought a Peplink B1 5G MIMO cellular Router and Parsec exterior MIMO antenna mounted on an extendable fiberglass mast (from Mobile Must Have) using a mount that I fabricated from aluminum.

Stainless steel clamp-brackets via Amazon and a base plate that I made from cedar blocks (painted black) to secure the mast to my roof-ladder.

The data plan connects to the best signal from T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon and/or US Cellular, and converts it to WiFi internet.

This set-up is rock-solid so far… more testing planned this summer in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, but so far it is amazing.
