Hi, y'all!

I just purchased a 2024 Grand Design Transcend Xplor 315BH with my son. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you about Grand Design and everything you have done to make it a home on wheels.

I'll be working full-time in a remote position, so it's not a never-ending camping trip for me, but I'm sure it will still be fun (between the traveling & dumping, and repairs, etc).

I sold my house and everything in it. It just got to be too much to handle after my husband died and now I'm going to do what he and I discussed.

I purchased a Thousand Trails membership and will be sticking to Texas for at least the first year and then venturing out of state.

I an open to any advise you can give me.

Jo

We bought the TT membership. Spent 2 weeks at TT Palm Springs, which isn't even IN Palm Springs. It's just a huge parking lot. Had to stay buttoned up because of so many people smoking. Everything TT in Arizona is Encore, so our membership didn't work there. Drove by a few in AZ, they too are just giant parking lots. Haven't seen any TT in Texas yet.

Welcome to the forum. There are many here with lots of experience who are willing to share. Be sure to let us know when questions come up.

I've read that cell coverage is spotty there and I need internet access for work. Can you please verify if I read correctly? That is a beautiful lake that I'd love to visit.

Cell service can be spotty. The Lake is beautiful.

We have been full-timing for a year now and we have StarLink, so no worries.

I would love to go there, but depend on cell coverage for my HomeFi internet. I may look into StarLink in the future, but I just bought the RV with cash and don't want to deplete my account TOO much at the beginning. Thank you for verifying the spotty coverage.
