Hello!

I have a 2024 Reflection 324MBS. We have had an unusually hot summer so far in Michigan and our single A/C has struggled to keep up post a highway drive or when just sitting in full sun. Unit came with a 14.5K Furrion, so as I have some warranty work being done on my slide that is off kilter in a few weeks, was considering having them toss in a second 13.5K unit up front. I know the ducting and wiring is there etc, but was not sure if anyone had any recommendations besides just sticking with the standard 13.5K Furrion or spend the extra 75$ for the 15K as they are the same size etc.

Added bonus is I could run the front one when we are all in the rear ( our floor plan is rear hang out space / kitchen etc ) and would cut down huge on the noise. Doesn't sound like the Cube will drop this year, so always the option to wait a year for that as it has some great low power benefits.

I appreciate any input you may have!

There is also a new low profile option from Furrion. I'm not sure of the model number, but it is now what GD is using when the 2nd a/c option is selected.

The bonus.......it also has heat pump.

Here is what I got from the Rep...(went into effect starting with April builds)

"I wanted to inform you that All Reflection, 100 Series, 150 Series, Main Line Fifth Wheels and Travel Trailers will now have a Low Profile A/C with Heat Pump when the 2nd A/C option is selected.

This reduces our overall height by 2 inches when the 2nd A/C is present on the unit.
The Heat Pump is a great addition.
This is still a 13.5K Furrion A/C."

Good to know! I tried reaching out to Grand Design and they came back with "Furrion 13.5 model # FACR13HESA-PS" would be what they would have added and or what they would recommend to add. This appears to be the normal 13.5K model from what I can tell, not low profile and no heat pump. I see you can add a heat strip, but not sure if its the same? "Furrion Chill® AC Heat Strip Installation Kit - Manual #C-FACR15SA-A02"

Interesting to know there is a low profile option! As I agree the heights dont match up from website in terms of what Grand Design lists as second a/c height etc of only going from 12'3" to 12'11" As the 13.5K unit itself is 13 5/8" tall.

Update for anyone interested... Spoke to Lippert / Furrion

There is a Low Profile Furrion 13K unit that is 3" shorter and does have the heat pump:

Model: FACR13-LPSA-PS Item: 2022120381
Controller: FACC12-ESPA Item: 2023051489
Therm: FACWW12-ESPA Item: 2023136653

Problem solved... Hopefully :)
