Alaska coming up

Heading to Alaska in July. Reading about getting in to Canada and what ya can't take and trying to figure out the Alaskan Hwy
Can't get good info on diesel availability. Any words of wisdom?

We made the trip last summer and there was no problem getting diesel. (It was expensive in Canada, but not a problem).

If you have not bought the Mile Post, It will be the best money you ever spent. The amount of information is unbelievable. From fuel stops to campgrounds to spots to stop for fishing/wildlife viewing, it has it all. I would not make the trip without it.

Thank you for reminding me. I have 2014 for planning purposes and just ordered the 2015.

Remember to check customs rules for reentry to US at Alaska. (No citrus.) I suggest you take an extra spare tire (unmounted). There are lots of places that can mount one, but not too many sizes are stocked. It can take 1-3 days to have one shipped. Good backup. Keep a camera in reach in the tow vehicle. Shot opportunities can come and go quickly.
