Another furniture replacement thread

Well looks like we’ll be replacing seating soon. Not peeling yet , but I can see where the facing is releasing from the backing in a couple of creases. I actually thought by ‘19 year models the peeling issue had been resolved. Oh well.

If you have the theater seating loveseat, search "Easy-Going Stretch Recliner Loveseat Cover with Center Console Sofa Slipcover Soft Fitted Fleece 2 Seats Couch with Cup Holder and Storage Washable Furniture Protector" on Amazon for a cover that might give you some more time before replacement.

As long as LCI continues to use bonded leather (ground up leather glued back on a fabric backing), this issue will not go away. We are replacing the last of our LCI furniture (the theater seats) for reasons other than peeling or cracking, though. The support and padding do not hold up well under full-time use, either. Our/my wife's Lambright double reclining love seat (their version of the theater seats) is due at the kids' house mid-July... with Ultraleather in a color to match the Ekornes Stressless recliners that replaced the sleeper sofa when we moved in.

Yes - it's been in use over a year now and looks just like the day it was installed. It's Laura's seating (the Ekornes Stressless recliner is mine) and she loves it.
