Anyone had any "nail pop" or "screw pop" issues with the roof membrane?

Greetings,
First time posting to this forum, and after looking over many of the posts, this seemed like a good place to ask my question.

We own a 2022 Imagine 22MLE, second owners, and original owner had only camped in it 3 times. We bought it because of the pristine condition it was in. While giving the camper a bath, I was washing the roof when I noticed 2 what I call "screw pops" sticking up on the roof. The heads feel like screw heads, and have not punctured the membrane yet. I have the camper at the dealership right now getting a new A/C unit installed, and asked them to take a look at it. The service advisor said that she would reach out to GD to see what they say as far as covering the repairs. I am still waiting to hear back from the service advisor as to what GD says.

The 2 screw pops are close to each other, about 4-6 inches apart, and they are positioned from left to right to each other. They are about a foot or two from the front roof seam at the midline of the roof.

I hope GD will make good on what appears to me to be a problem with the workmanship during the construction of the roof. I was just wondering if this is a problem anyone else has experienced.

I've not had that issue but I'm sure someone on here has. If Grand Design does not cover it the repair could be as simple as removing the screws, or re-installing them then covering the small holes made to access them with either Eternabond tape or Lap Sealant

It's not necessarily a problem of workmanship. Happens all the time in roofing. Trusses are made of dimensional lumber and your roof deck is a laminated wood product. These shrink as they age and dry, and that's never an even process. When it happens, you get fastener pops. The way it should be dealt with it to slit the membrane over the pop, tighten the fastener flush, if possible, and remove if not. Work a little repair adhesive under the slice, and roll the membrane into it. Once cured, a dollop of lap sealant and it's repaired.

Now if you said you had dozens of pops, that would clearly be workmanship.

Not so sure I agree with you, Long Hauler. If I was hanging sheetrock in your house and left a few screws sticking out, I would think this could be considered a workmanship issue, and you would expect me to make it right. Would I need to leave a dozen or so sticking out, not fastening the sheetrock to the studs before it would be considered poor workmanship? I agree that it could be a relatively simple repair, but what it could mean is that a roof truss or panel has failed and is trying to return to its natural bow, and pushing the screws up and into the membrane. Before I make an attempt to bandaid this repair, I would prefer to find out why this has happened.
