Hello, I don't have access to my 2020 Imagine 2970RL right now, but I need to know what "size" battery it holds?
I know they come in 24", 27", etc., but not sure which one. Thanks!

24 or 27 inch long battery??

I don’t understand what you are talking about I guess

I assume you are talking about “groups”

What do you have for a battery box?

My trailer has a group24 battery in the box

OK thanks, sounds like 24" is the answer. But what's the difference between a "flooded" battery and one that's not? And what's the difference between "group" or not?
...Is one better than the other?

Group numbering has no direct relationship to the physical size of the battery. Just an FYI. Although you may already know that.A group 24 battery is about 10 1/2" x 6" x 8 3/4".

Not 24”. Group 24. Groups are sizes. Google is your friend

what do you use the battery for? Just travel to run brakes or boondocking?

OK, thanks for clarifying that 24 is not a size dimension. Nonetheless, I'm now told I need a "24". But I see some batteries labeled as "Group 24" and others that don't label it as "Group". So, is that just a marketing thing or is there a difference? And, does "flooded" or not, matter?

Rather than try to explain it all, check out this link to the BCI: BCI Group Sizes

Google is your friend here

What do you need the battery for?

I've "googled"; not sure I'm interpreting things correctly, so I turned to the Forum.
I need a battery because my old one is no good anymore. It's sitting on the lot and can't sell because the battery won't allow for slide-outs, etc.

Thanks for everyone's help. Sorry, but I thought this would be a simple question with simple answers. I'll just call the Dealer and see what they recommend. Thanks again

If all you want it for is to power up the trailer than any deep cycle group 24 will do the job
Just head to any auto parts store or Wally world

It is a Group 24 deep cycle battery.

Plain and simple, that is what you need, at a minimum.

FYI. I alway swap out the dealer supplied group 24 with a 27 so I have more capacity available when not connected to shore power. I buy an AGM 27 because it’s lighter weight than a standard lead acid battery. The 27 is longer, but fits in the battery rails on the trailer A-frame.

He is selling the trailer so a 24 is all he needs
