ARC output not fuctioning

2022 Imagine 3100RD when Roku tv & Jensen stereo is on ARC output we get no sound through the system.The sound from the tv shuts off but no sound through stereo. Have tried different hdmi cable but no change. Any thoughts?

Have you tried multiple HDMI ports? On some devices, all ports aren’t ARC capable.

Also, the Jensen requires you to press the reset button before connecting the cable and selecting ARC

Also, check the cable.

Some are one way, only.

Check the settings on both the TV and the stereo. Sometimes things are mislabeled. Also, check which port the HDMI cable is plugged into, usually only one supports ARC. On mine it was a bad connection, a bit of Gorilla tape did the trick. Hope you find the issue.

I have ours going out from the 'digital audio' output on the tv using an optical cable and using an 'analog converter' which converts to RCA plugs which goes into a Jensen stereo, which replaced the Furion unit. I have a soundbar which is plugged in to the ARC.

I agree with this approach. I'm not sure the Jensen accepts an HDMI input for sound. Or an HDMI input of any kind for that matter.

What model of Jensen?

Its like a JVM41 model...I think there are a couple of variances, similar depending on different features. No HDMI input, but works well, 2 sets of speakers (I replaced the interior speakers as well, a big improvement) plus bluetooth.
