Atwood stove black glass cover shattered while away

I'll start by saying we are full time RV'ers and generally love our new Reflection 313RLTS.
While we were out, the black (tempered?) glass that covers the stove shattered into a million pieces.
Atwood has avoided responsibility for this so far.....
Anyone else experience this?

How does that work on a unit that has to still be under warranty ??
Our rig predates the addition of these stove covers . . . so, can't offer further comment.

Because there is no proof that it wasn't struck and broken.

I had the glass front of my fireplace do the same thing, without being touched. How do I prove it?

I just had my 2018 Imagine 2600RB on our first trip and had a few usually things pop up that will need to be fixed. The interesting thing that happened is my wife was baking something in the oven and the glass top completely shattered while she was standing in front of the oven. She had not touched it, it just shattered. Scared us both, but thankfully my wife was not hurt. I think this is definitely a design flaw or the glass is not right.

If you're within the one year warranty, I'd suggest you contact GDRV at 574-825-9679 to see if they can assist. If you're out of warranty, I believe you can purchase a new cover from Amazon for about $70.00

Thanks Jim, that’s great info! This was our shakedown trip and we have a few more warranty items to be fixed. Are the dealers pretty responsive on fixing warranty work? I made a preliminary call to the dealer after it happened and his response was that he had never heard of this happening and asked if we took pictures. We were so shocked that we never thought of taking pictures, but I’ve learned that pictures should always be taken. I’m hoping for the best outcome.

I know this is an older post but your not alone my glass shattered in a million pieces rear glass portion only on second shake down cruise
