I have a 2023 2500RL Imagine.
Owner's Manual states the 12vdc system is designed for a Group 24 or Group 27 Deep Cycle Battery. States this on page 84 and on page 85. The battery rack on the tongue will not handle a Group 24 or 27 battery case. The angle iron is spaced only 7.5" for the width.
Anybody run across this issue and have a fix. I hate to start cutting and welding to make manufacture's recommended battery fit.
The original dead battery was a very small battery. Only 15 months old.
Frustrated to say the least.

Found a battery case.

Fits real tight, but it fits.

If all else fails, slap a 1"X8" board into the rack and put a 2"X10" board on top of the whole thing.

Then, you get a battery box (or two) and bolt them down through both boards.

If you are paranoid about them bouncing off, bolt new angle irons onto the top board.

If you are REALLY paranoid, tie those puppies down to the original angle irons with J-hooks.

(Pipe strapping works well, too, but is not as pretty.)

And, yes, color me in the REALLY paranoid category!

Louisiana and Mississippi roads will do that to you.

I was already considering building a metal rack to bolt on. I thought wood would look bad.
Thank you for your input/idea.

Sounds like you figured it out...
NOCO makes a family of different sized battery boxes for all sorts of situations. I've used them for marine batteries where they hold up well. They seem to be a bit thicker than most.
Definitely, the commercial boxes are more rigid, and the price reflects the quality.

I have the same trailer, a few years older but sounds like the battery tray is the same. I have to Trojan T-105's in a Camco box. I use the straps and did fashion a clamp using metal strapping and padlock. Has been in place for 3 years now. No issues.

Here’s what I did, 3/4 plywood, primer and black paint. Self tappers into the tongue
