A member with a 2022 Imagine 2600RB reported that the awning only clicked when the extend button was pressed, but it would operate normally after loosening the manual nut on top of the awning arm. The panel showed 13.41 volts, though another member noted that if connected to shore power or a generator, the panel may be showing converter output rather than true battery voltage.

Main suggestions focused on checking for low voltage with a meter, considering a weak motor or bad motor winding...

I tried opening my awning on my 2022 Imagine 2600rb. I pushed the extend button on the control panel and just keep getting a click noise. So I got the ladder and loosened the manuel nut on top of the awning arm. After only a few turns I tried the extend button again and it worked. Ran it in and out several times and it worked each time. So the next morning I tried it again before I hooked up and nothing. The same click sound and no movement from the awning. Loosened the nut again and the awning moved. Any suggestions.

Are your batteries charged up good?

Are you connected to shore power/generator? If so, you may be seeing the charge from the converter and not actual battery voltage. But I don't believe the awning would draw enough amperage to be an issue even if the battery was a bit low. Perhaps the motor is getting a bit weak. Or a bad spot on the motor windings?

Have you ruled out any binding of the arms when fully retracted? If you are able to get it to extend/retract after loosening the manual nut sounds like the motor is OK.

On both of our rigs we experienced periodic binding of the awning arms with temperature changes. On cool mornings, particularly, I would have to give a little helping hand to get one arm or the other unstuck and moving. Wiping the outside of the inner arms, the inside of the outer arms, and the struts on the dampers with a clean cloth sprayed with silicone lube helps, too.
