Awning Power Drive Head Differences

I have a Solera Series 3000 21' patio awning on my 2024 Reflection. I had to replace the power drive head due to some damage. The manual has two part numbers for this part, 273478 (original black drive head) and 672050 (Regal black drive head). According to GD parts department the Regal drive head is the one for my trailer. Does anyone know what the difference is between these two drives? Is it just appearance? Are they interchangeable? I did purchase the Regal unit, have installed it (about 30 minute job), and all is well. I'm just curious.
