2017 Imagine 2950RL. 6weeks from delivery date. Both Lippert solair power awnings not closing flush with T.T. and when extended the same side that not closing flush is awning is loose on that side. Thinking gas strut on this side gone bad? Anyone else have same issue?

This might be a dumb reply. But just make sure you are actually retracting the awning.
Let me explain. Last trip out I was doing a final walk around before pulling out of the campground. I noticed the awning was not retracted all the way. Wife pulled it in so I thought maybe she just didn't finish it. I opened the door and toggled the rocker switch to retract and it actually started going outward. ? So a rookie mistake could be that you pulled it in wrong. The button is clearly labeled 'RET' and 'EXT' I believe, so just make sure you actually retract it otherwise it will extend all the way and start to come back to the trailer but never fold up all the way.

Thanks for info. 2950RL has 2 separate awnings. And it is the left arm on both front Door and slide awning. I tried several times to extend and retract both and tried to help it by hand. The top part of both awnings is flush but the bottom on both left arms sticks out more than an inch.

Can't really see what is happening in the pic. Maybe back up a bit so the whole thing is visable. From your description sounds like something is jamming in the bottom near the end of retraction.

Wish I would of took better picture. Oh well back to the dealer it will go. 2nd time in a month. And it is only 6 weeks since It was delivered. It is a pain, to schedule it for warrenty, work only to hear dealer has to get the approval of Grand Design, then they have to order parts...then when parts come in reschdule.... Blah. Blah I'll stop complaining now. All the little issues will get worked out and or fixed. Love the floor plan.

I've done the same thing. When extended, if you accidentally press EXT, it will keep extending and then begin retracting. The only way to notice is that when fully retracted, the arms don't quite nest together completely.

Doesn't seem to do any harm, and is just as secure.
