Axle noise question

Hello All. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong thread, I'm going to copy it into the Reflection General thread as well.. I have a 2021, 260RD 5th wheel and I'm concerned about my axles. The front of my RV rides 2" higher than the back - the dealer said that was the best they could do because of the bed height in my 2018 Ram 2500, long bed with a Pullrite 1900 hitch (Turning Point is locked). Whenever I back up I get a loud noise coming from one axle (not sure which one). The greater the turning angle, the louder and more frequent is the noise. It sounds like the axle is twisting and releasing. It's a loud noise that I could here at least 50 yards away. I've had an RV instructor tell me that it was normal but I'm not sure. Any thoughts would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

I'll caveat Steve agreeing noise is normal as trailer suspensio ns are primitive, but you could also be backing at too aggressive of angles horizontally and/or vertically. Point being, worth a visual to see if anything looks stressed or bent. That said, some turns will have binding so extreme you swear the tires are going to blow off the wheels!

Thanks Steve and Rob. The greatest angle has been around 70 degrees. So I understand, the noise would be fairly loud and the bend of the wheel (side to side)would be noticeable)? Thanks again.

Yeah, the binding from the contact patch of the tire can be unreal, particularly on pavement. My former triple axle race trailer was so bad on my extreme angle backing into my driveway that I'd dust the driveway with oil dry (bentonite) to give it some slip. The hangers aren't the best with Lippert frames and the Dexter springs also not great. So you need to regular inspect your suspension just like a quality commercial driver would.
