My Furrion backup camera was not working after I took the trailer in for service (see below).
Eventually I found that the red switch in the tunnel needed to be on for the backup camera to power up????
But in that mode the camera ran ALL the time - towing, parked, camping, etc.
So I rewired the camera to run off the running lights. There is one directly above the camera port
But I had to drill a hole through a metal plate below the tail light (hopefully not critical - anyone know?) between the running lights and the backup camera.
Then thread a small 2 conductor wire from the running light to the power for the backup camera and I now have a backup camera that only turns on when the running lights are on.
BTW, this occurred when I went to pickup the Solitude after

- wheel bearing repack - ~15000 miles + whatever the previous owner put on it - grease was OK but old, and
- passenger side seals are torn on top - wondered why that sometimes leaked. The maintenance facility said the slide needed to be pulled to fix the seals. Any other options?
