BAL Hide a Spare

Obviously our trailers are different but just a word of support. I added this carrier to my last trailer. Very simple installation and I absolutely loved the result. I think you'll be pleased with your choice.

Looks nice. Keep us posted. Another item to add to the list. Seems to be never ending... Working on the bunk ladder today. I think Grand Design could have done much better on it. Mine looks very promising. Using the existing ladder with a couple of small changes. Hope to give it a try this week. The wife wants a tankless water heater $$$.

It will be nice to know how the under slung carrier works out. I am considering adding this to our 2950 rl imagine when we receive it. I believe they are both made on the same frame. Thanks for your input. Bruce

Update; it took a few weeks for delivery from Campers World but they did a nice job packing it and it arrived with no scratches or twists. I did buy some stainless steel nuts and bolts to do the install. In hindsight the self tapping bolts would have been a better choice. I took my time to find the best location under the unit and ended up about the middle between the axles and the hitch. Instructions say to mount it as close to the axles as possible to avoid additional toung weight but I didn't want to run into any plumping or wires. The mounting of the brackets were straight forward. I had to undo some of the bottom insulation to make sure there were no wires or plumbing attached to the inside of the frame. Drilled 8 holes in the frame and mounted the brackets. The rest was a snap. I mounted it 10' from one of the front I beams in the photo. My bumper is now freed up.
