Looking at a 2021 reflection 303rls and bath has no fan switch on the wall, just up in fan housing what's with that?

Thought it was pretty common to have a wall switch. My 2011 Sabre has one. Kind of a pain to reach up there every time. Poor design.

Your Sabre is/was an outlier. None of our RVs (including our Solitude) have had a wall switch for the bathroom fan.

I had a 2011 Sabre 30BHDS as well. It was the only one with the wall switch

Especially poor for those of us who are short.

Our 2022 Reflection 315 RLTS has a wall switch. Unfortunately it is just on-off, and the fan cover still has to be operated by getting a stepstool so we can turn the crank up there. It is also quite loud. One of these days, when I catch up with some of the other projects I'll replace the whole thing with something better. Right now, as long as the fan works, I can deal with it.

Maybe one of these might come in handy....

You get a his, hers, and theirs! ;)

Or..... could get a 12v conversion w/remote kit like this kit:

Well, that might work for turning the fan on, but it doesn't seem sturdy enough to turn the knob to open the vent (also located on the ceiling) without breaking.

rjoraw only mentioned switch... right?

Someone does make an extension for the rod.... think might be someone on this forum?

I personally like the fact that the bathroom fan is manual to open and on. Allows one to just crack it open in windy and/or rainy conditions to still vent the bathroom for showers, etc.

A friend is 4" 11" tall... She has a stick that hangs on the wall of her RV bathroom to push the switch on the vent fan. Other end has a little U shape hook to turn the knob to open & close the vent

Well GD must have listened, 2024 17MKE and 22MLE have wall switches for the bathroom fan! In fact it is the first switch your hand reaches as you fumble for the light switch at night! Fortunately it is easy to reverse the wiring so you get the lights first!

Replaced Galley with Maxxair Deluxe

Same issue with my 2020 Reflection 297RSTS. So last spring ‘23 I started a project to replace the Maxxair fan over the Galley (controlled from a wall switch) with the new Maxxair Deluxe fan (wireless remote). I then replaced the bathroom fan with the Maxxair fan that I removed from the Galley. Had to reroute some of the original wiring over to the bathroom wall. Not too difficult, but had to remove some trim, the bathroom overhead cabinet and a small section of wall board to gain access to the wiring rats nest. Probably had a full days work invested. Removing the fans wasn’t difficult, just time consuming to cleanup all the old dicor and Eternabond. Everything works great now and is much more convenient. Love the Maxxair deluxe with wireless remote…as do my grandkids.
