I just purchased new a 2023 23BHE. I intend to use 2 Trojan T105s for the house batteries. They weight about 62lbs each. Does anyone know if the battery brackets are rated for this kind of weight? (124lbs).

Thanks

Shawn

I beefed mine up. Those welds are not very confidence inspiring.

Also, concerning battery choice, nothing wrong with Trojans, but you may want to take a look at the Duracell gc2's that can be found at Sam's club. They are made by East Penn and are essentially the same battery that East Penn market's as Deka. Very good batteries, and I've had good luck with them on 2 boats, an off grid solar system on my cabin, and now on my trailer. Way cheaper than Trojans. I'd have to put Trojans in an Airstream if I had one, though. :)

Agree with beefing up the welds. I had one break from frame twisting and it was just good luck that I didn't lose at least one of the batteries.

Thanks for the info. I've had the T105s for about 4 years in my previous camper. I'll probably upgrade to lithium in 2 years or when these die....whichever comes 1st.

I thought the same about the welds. Nice job reinforcing and thanks for sharing. How did you attach the square tubing to the frame....or is it?
It isn't. If you look at the side pic you'll see where I bent tabs down from the bottom of the tubing. Keeps it from walking.

I have a 2019 2150RK that eventual dropped 3 of 4 welds after 3 years with 2 either FS or AGM. After 5 years the A-Frame folded like a hot turkey sandwich and Lippert manufactured a new A-Frame (by VIN) and I am already looking at ways to reinforce, although these welds are better than the factory (hurry-up) process!
Only had it home, post repair, for two weeks!

Shawn, I have 2 6v batts up front that weigh in at about 62lbs. They are the original batteries from 11/2019 and I've had no issues with the battery bracket. Imagine 2250RK
