Battery Disconnect-Shore Power

Should you use battery disconnect when hooked up to shore power?

I don't. Haven't checked to see if it does but if it takes the converter out of the circuit, there will be nothing to keep your batteries fully charged.

All Grand Design rigs have a "smart" converter. It will not overcharge your batteries and can be kept plugged in.

I was told when I did my walk through with the 368RD that anytime the FW is hooked up to any outside power, the battery should not be disconnected.

I've had my Solitude for almost 2 years and almost never unplug shore power or disconnect the batteries with no ill affects. Just check battery fluid level once a month.
