Question: what is recommended for a battery monitor? I just need to know voltage, temp, soc, ect. Do you suggest a monitor or app on phone? Even wireless if needed. I have one 100ah lithium battery. Thanks!

Our LFP battery BMS has bluetooth. If yours does it can give you the basic info you want. If not like was said the shunt is the other option.

Great! I've seen posts about different ranges it will transmit. How far have you measured before you lose signal?

It can vary based on what's in the way. I can almost always pick it up from inside the coach. Outside up to fifty feet, I can monitor the SOC from inside the house when the coach is in the driveway.

I have the 500 also and agree with Soundsailor....my reception seems about the same although I have never really tested it for distance but have never had any issues in or around the trailer

I have a Victron Smart shunt. I like it, but you have to be really close to get any reception. I've got a 29RS, so it is not a huge 5th wheel. The shunt is under the stairs [inside the basement] and I have a tough time getting it to link at the theater chairs.

If I could do it again, I would have invested way more time in finding something that has a longer range. I would love to 'see' the shunt while driving and there is no way that will happen with Victron.

I have a Reflection 303rls with better compartment in the front bay under the nose. I would like to have the range also to monitor the shunt from the truck cab. Thanks for the tip!
