Question: what is recommended for a battery monitor? I just need to know voltage, temp, soc, ect. Do you suggest a monitor or app on phone? Even wireless if needed. I have one 100ah lithium battery. Thanks!
I'll give it a look, Thanks so much! The only real option is a shunt-based system. The Victron Smart Shunt is a popular option.
It can vary based on what's in the way. I can almost always pick it up from inside the coach. Outside up to fifty feet, I can monitor the SOC from inside the house when the coach is in the driveway. How far have you measured before you lose signal?
I have a Reflection 303rls with better compartment in the front bay under the nose. I would like to have the range also to monitor the shunt from the truck cab. Thanks for the tip!I have a Victron Smart shunt. I like it, but you have to be really close to get any reception. I've got a 29RS, so it is not a huge 5th wheel. The shunt is under the stairs [inside the basement] and I have a tough time getting it to link at the theater chairs.
If I could do it again, I would have invested way more time in finding something that has a longer range. I would love to 'see' the shunt while driving and there is no way that will happen with Victron.
