Battery Sale

Many of you know I have a 35 ft sailboat which has similar systems to our RV trailer. Not all are proponents of lithium and so I’m posting a site a lot of long range cruising sailboats use for batteries. They are having a deep sale on Lifeline

Those do have some nice features but geez, they are literally DOUBLE the cost of Trojan T105s.

I'd water my four batteries a few times per year and save the $700 for various liquors to water myself.

Understand ...of the wet cells I’d get Trojans over every other except Rolls - Surette
Many of us buy the AGM because they are zero maintainence and are in positions , especially on a sailboat you cannot easily reach them, plus they can be stored on their sides maximizes space. Lifelines are the only ones which encourage equalization / de-sulfation

Very very few wet cells last over 5 years. Even Trojans only warranty for 1 possible pro rate partial for 2 years
Our last 6- Lifeline 6 volt AGM last 10 years and carried a warranty 1 possible pro rate partial for 5 years.

So essentially for most you need to replace those Trojans twice for the set of expensive Lifelines. You may get a little longer than most on your Trojans but the average person is lucky to get 5+ years in what I’ve seen. And you never have to do a thing like water them...time saved invaluable.
