Bed lift struts

The struts for lifting the bed are very wimpy. The is difficult to lift and will not stay open on its own. Has anyone replaced (or supplemented) the stock struts with something a bit beefier? If so can you share what you used and how you mounted them?
I replaced mine when we upgraded our mattress. Here is the link on Amazon the the heavier ones we used that work good.

Update: I upgraded the 120 lb struts to 150 lb. So far, so good.

The 120s worked fine at first but later failed to hold the bed open. Could perhaps be the cooler temperatures or maybe a defective shock that lots some strength. In any case I made an Amazon return in time to replace with stronger components.
