Bent Leveling Jack

Last night while leaving a truck stop the right tires hit a pothole that seemed more like a sink hole. I finally got a look at the area this morning and the right rear leveling jack is pretty bent but is holding. The hydraulic lines are intact and are not leaking. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and if so what action was taken. I plan on taking it into the dealer when we get back next week but I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks.

If the damage is expensive, you can check to see if your insurance company will pay for it minus your deductible.

My dealer charges $125 per labor hour. He'll seldom see me unless someone else is picking up the bill.

You can often order such leveler parts online directly from the manufacturers.

If the mounting brackets welded to the frame are not bent, repairs are often just bolt on's.

It looks like the mount is bent. Everything still works fine so I am wondering if taking it in to have the mount straightened and re-enforced would really be worth the money.

If the mount is bent, it may fail one of these days due to metal fatigue. I'd sure consider straightening and reinforcing.
