I am looking for advice to replace my gas/electric unit that gets dicey holding temps in the SW when over 80F

I currently have an 8cf Dometic, but there is room in the cabinet for possibly a 10CF.
Hopefully the picture is attached. BTW I have don all the modifications to th Dometic adding fans inside and out which has helped, but still get high fridge temps at times (above 40F)

I am interested in any brand except Furrion. Please post a link to your recommendation.

Also any tips to the removal of the existing fridge. I know I have a gas line to deal with and probably some wiring.

Thanks

I am in the process of doing the JC Conversion. It will be a dual compressor 12 volt system. $1500 for system plus installation cost, free shipping. Several you tube videos. If in Indiana they will install for around $100, I think. Install scheduled for Monday.

Having the same experience with our frig and the attached part number is what Grand Design tech request replied with,
Item #720697
Description REFRIGERATOR 8CF BLACK FRAME LH W/FAN (4 PACK)
Vendor Part #DM2882LBF4

Part is available from dealer.

JC Refridgeration also sells DutchAire 12 volt fridges. We replaced our 8 cu. ft. propane/120 volt fridge with a 10 cu. ft. Dutchaire 2310 for $1475 with free shipping, not taxes added. It was not too much more expensive than their conversion kits and I was able to sell the old fridge for $500 which actually made it cheaper than a conversion kit (going by memory so I could be wrong). The extra 2 cu. ft. is great, as is the way it cools much faster and stays cold even if the temperature is in the 90's. Paid an extra $75 or so for their wiring kit as it included a breaker and also if there was a problem later they couldn't blame it on the type of wire. They shipped it to SLC and it arrived just fine.
Removing the old fridge was not too much trouble as I left it in place so the buyer could see it worked and how it was connected, then had him help getting it out of the trailer. Capped the propane and terminated the 120 volt line, again without any trouble. The worst part was removing the insulation from the inside of the cabinet per the new fridge's installation directions.
We have 412 amp hours of battery and 800 volts solar so the extra power it uses over the old fridge has not been a problem.
Good luck.
