As morning coffee is an essential part of life and as I now have a inverter capable of running one I thought I would ask what small electric coffee pots folks are using.

I was thinking a small carafe - maybe 2 to 4 cups or a small K-cup model. looking for durable and that makes OK coffee. We only drink a cup and then get on the road.

Thanks

PS Local Kmart available, etc is good. Don't need an expensive one.

My wife uses a 5 cup Mr. Coffee for her decaf. It's small and works well. Not sure what the power draw is.

We have a small K-cup machine for OK coffee. When we want the good stuff, I have a burr grinder and French press.

We've been using the new Kurig Slim and love it. I like it strong, bold with only a touch of milk and DW likes the flavoured, sugary stuff with caffeine in it that is apparently coffee. Lol. Now you can see why the Kurig works for us but I have to make mine first or rinse it. When boondocking its the French press for me.

We switched from the 5 cup Mr Coffee to the 12 cup Mr Coffee. We had some of those fancy coffee pots, but took them back to BB & Beyond. As long as you pack the glass pot
, everything is ok. KEN

I think we are going to go with the 5 cup Mr Coffee. Simple and fairly quick. We both drink the same real coffee so it will be easier than a K-cup or peculator. Can get parts (carafe) easy too.

Thanks for the help folks

We use the Keurig Slim Mini (Italian Dark Roast Pods... regular and decaf)....$110 at Walmart, but is frequently on sale for less. Check Bed Bath & Beyond with a 20% off coupon.

For larger brewing options, we have the 12-cup Mr. Coffee, and honestly it does great (full disclosure we do use ground Starbuck's for the 12-cup).:)

can't help you out on that one, powerscol! My bride loves coffee in the morn and she has a 12 cup on the counter! It's about empty mid morn and thats me having usually one mugfull.

I have two. I have a MokaPot for a one-cup morning, and def. when boondocking w/o power. When on power, which is our typical setup, I have a crappy $12 coffee pot from the grocery store. On/Off. That's it. Nothing fancy.

We use a single Keurig K cup maker for similar reason as someone else. I take a morning blend with some hazelnut or other flavor creme, and the wife likes Hawaiian coffee.

200-300 watts.

We use a MokaPot also, I guess we are minimalist. No spare counter space and just need a burner. No glass, easy to pack away. And frankly one cup of from this pot is all we need. Also good for tent camping.
