Ok, cannot find this as a topic so here goes. Three of the four nubs on the black tank outlet have sheared off ( where the slnky goes on). I guess my Popeye arms are to blame ? LMAO

Anyway, what's involved in replacing the end with a new fitting, and is it an order able part?

Any other suggestions? I have a gate valve to use there, but gluing does not seem like a great idea. I was thinking to drill where the studs were and use screws to make a connection. Thoughts?

Have read were others have screwed the valtera external gate valves on - mainly to keep it from twisting off when removing the slinky.... may need to go up into coroplast and find an area there were you can cut and add a union with new pvc.

Otherwise, would call grand design parts and ask if they sell a replacement dump pvc line or parts.

You’ll have to cut it off and glue another one on. My sewer cap was extremely tight and hard to install so I ordered a new one from Amazon, which fits better.

Repairing this is a straight forward plumbing job.

The problem comes when you cut off the old fitting the remaining stub might be too short to install the new fitting onto. Another problem comes from shortening up the pipe to the point that you can't reach it to attach the slinky.

If you are able to cut off the pipe and install another fitting, you can address the shortness with a new Gate Valve added to the end of your drain (see link below). I keep one of these Gate Valves on my drain pipe all the time.

By the way, the piping is ABS and not PVC, you will need to get ABS glue to attach the new fitting.

Here is a link to the valve I noted above: Amazon.com/Valterra-T58-Twist-On-Waste-Valve
