Blu Tech Trio 3-Stage Filter Smell Remains

Hey there, Folks!

I have a Blu Tech Trio filter installed in my 410TH. We are at a site where the water still smells unpleasant even though everything is piped through the filter. We were at two other locations without an issue, but I'm curious if anyone has experience with this filter and if it does remove the smell of the water for you.

Another note - I reached out to the manufacturer and they didn't have any additional information on it.

We also run a 3 stage filter and a softener and also ran into not being able to rid the water in FL of it's smell and taste (seems east coast people thought it was normal) so we went to Bottled for cooking and drinking...then decided to try on top of all that the Berkey filter system. The Berkey got rid of that taste..something on that order may help you for food and drink but not showering

As luck would have it, I'm just outside the Florida coast. Did the Berkey have any impact on the smell?

It did, the water no longer smells like fish water...you might be able to find one lightly used on market place. You may have to buy filters, we bought some on Amazon that fit and work great for way less than the Berkey filters. We have the Royal size (the base hold 3 gals) the top will filter 2.5 gals. they double into each other for travel. There are other sizes as well. We refill about every other day. We use it for drinking,cooking and dog water.
