Boat and RV Show Deals, lack of RV's posted online

Just curious if anyone has noticed something similar or is it just me. I have been looking into 5th Wheel Toy Haulers with the anticipation of buying one before the new camping season starts in the Midwest for 2025. I have been looking at RV Dealers in central Ohio as well as on RV Trader since mid-October when our campground closed down. This will be my second camper purchase as we were relatively new to camping. First one being just before covid screwed up just about everything, so I am still new to figuring out the games that the dealers and manufacturers play. My plan was to find some specific models and prices, then here in mid Jan 2025 when the Boat and RV show comes to Columbus, take that info and try to get some sort of a deal at the show. At least if I had some models and prices to compare, I'll have a decent idea if they actually make good deals at these big national RV shows. It seems that in the past few weeks there is significantly less RV's posted for sale in my area. Also a few of the models that I had saved, the prices are significantly increased from just a few weeks to a month or 2 ago. Has anyone else noticed this and is it a game the local dealers do with the shows coming to town to make it appear the deals are better than they really are? Also, speaking on the shows, does anyone have experience with purchasing at the shows and is it possible to negotiate a fair/good price? My apologies for the paragraph.

Well, based on reading here and elsewhere I went to my local dealership and offered them MSRP - 30% on the model & configuration I wanted and they accepted it. Downside it had to be built and I waited a few months.
Maybe I could have gotten a better deal at a show or this one was pretty good and they were happy since it was basically in one door and out the other ? Regardless, I'm satisfied enough.

I just bought a reflection 5th wheel. Ended up having to drive 5 hours to get it but got right at 30 percent off the MSRP. Did the same as you, found the model I wanted and started shopping dealers

I guess this is solved. I was going to suggest a trip to the Tampa RV Super Show next month. I think 30% is probably what you get at the RV show, so I think the OP did well.

I don’t think 30 percent is what you would get off at Rv show with out some negotiation. But totally possible with some negotiation. My realness on a 2025
