Bracket on Back Floor/Wall

I pulled out the couch from my Reflection 337 because I am installing a desk instead. One of the things I found was a brown metal bracket, with most of the screws laying in a neat pile in the corner. The screws that are in it appear to be working their way out. Is this bracket structural or can it be removed? I can’t imagine they’d be using a bracket to hold the floor and the wall together…. Any clue what is really for?

I'm only guessing but it looks like its holding the paneling on the wall. Could be wrong.

The screws in ours popped out also. My husband put in better fasteners and used silicone adhesive. He's of the opinion that it's not a good idea to remove it, it seems to be the supports for the wall/floor connection.

Saw this reply from Megan at GD about that trim piece:

"We use this aluminum corner piece to help with attaching the floor to the rear wall. You are correct, it is not structural as the main attachments for the rear wall are done at the perimeter of the wall. We are not able to run screws through the fiberglass into the floor of the unit as the screw heads would be exposed (because there is no belt rail back there), so we use this aluminum railing in the interior to prevent any gapping.

If the screws are coming out, we would recommend reinstalling wider screws. The maximum length of the screws that we suggest using is 1-1/2"."
