We have a brand new Influence and after the first shakedown trip the theater seating came loose from the floor. I screwed it back down with a thicker screw and I thought it was pretty much the same length. We just took it back out and when I opened the slide I saw the damage to the flooring. Apparently the screw I used must have been slightly longer because I guess when the slide was brought in and out it dug into the flooring of the main cabin. I am so upset, this being brand new. I’m wondering if I can order a piece of the vinyl flooring from GD and cut out and replace a section? Has anyone had to do a repair on their vinyl floor without replacing the entire floor? I suppose I could cover it with a rug but I would like the problem fixed not just “swept under the rug” as it were.

Hmm. Our theater seating isn’t attached to the slide?
Did you compare the original screw length with the one you used?

This can be repaired. Shortly after purchasing our '19 295RL, our kitchen slide rubbed a hole in our flooring. We took it into our dealer and a repair company came in and glued down a replacement patch after removing the torn flooring. Could not tell it was ever damaged after the repair. Would contact a dealer for the name of a repair company.

Be sure to replace the screws in question....

I certainly would agree to look into a professional repair attempt. Unless you know exactly where the damage is and you are a few inches from the repair, you will never see it. At least that is what I have seen with the professional repairs in my neck of the woods.
