A couple of my ceiling lights have bugs behind the covers.
The lights seem to be spring loaded in some fashion to the ceiling.
How do I remove the covers?

You got it right there. Just keep pulling the light down, and it will come free. Watch your fingers though as it is held in place by "mousetrap" type springs, and they do bite. :)

I’m quite certain that I can continue pulling that light until the whole unit comes out of the ceiling before that cover comes off 😀. Pull it out anyway?

To follow up: the covers do “pop off”; there is nothing to unscrew. While I’m not brand new to RV repairs, I sometimes forget how delicate/ fragile/cheap these components are. Apparently there are three tabs on each cover and they may or may not unsnap without issue…

If you order replacements, you might as well get the ones with the on off switches in the lenses. That way, you can turn individual ones off as needed. I put switches in the 4 of mine near our bed. You're right, you have to be pretty careful popping the lenses off.
