So I was thinking about this as I flushed my black tank the other day. We use the rule, more water is better than less... On a typical weekend with just the 2 of us, it is about a every 2 day flush, with 4 peeps every day!
We are permanently docked at our Camp Site & hard plumbed to a Septic for everything. The Grey tanks are always open, only an occasional close & flush for food debris etc. The camper will likely never be moved, when we decide the end our camp adventure, she will likely be sold in place.
So here is the question, could you bypass the black tank, or remove it & plumb directly to the septic & replace with a home toilet? Certainly I get that if someone wanted to use it as an actual travel trailer again, this would have to be put back/re-done etc. The thing is, we will use it for 3-4 more years in the spot, likely build a roof over it next year and not having to dump every couple days, treat the tank etc. would be awesome!
Thoughts???
