We are planning a trip to Dollywood in April 2025.
Anyone have an opinion on what RV park they liked or didn’t like.
Our camper is a MLE22, so it will be just the two of us.
Just looking for a quiet campground.

Search TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) Douglas Headwater. Quiet and a little away from the touristy area....

Check out parrot mountain just past Dollywood. This is a cool place to visit.

We stayed at Twin Creek RV Resort when we were in that area about 12 years ago. Nice quiet campground. About 12 miles from Dollywood.

We stayed at THE RIDGE RV RESORT in Sevierville. Just down the road to Dollywood and close to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Ford and The Smokey Mountains. Just a quick note, if you are driving a 2500 or 3500 look into renting a jeep from The Ridge. Not a bad price and MUCH easier to get around the area. Parking is a premium; spaces are small or in a parking garage. The roads in The Smokies are very narrow.

2nd Douglass Lake Headwaters CG. There is also Tailwaters (below the dam) but they had some damage from Helene so not sure how they are doing. The views are better at Headwaters. Great CG, large sites. You’ll have to drive a little bit to get to Dollywood - the traffic in the area is horrible, but this is a nice way to stay just out of the insanity!
Note this is a State park so power/water, no sewer.

We stayed at SunOutdoors in Pigeon Forge. It was easy to get in and out of and the employee were really nice and helpful. Next time we will stay at the Margaritaville Campgrounds which is closer to Dollywood.

We were just there a few weeks ago. We really enjoyed Up The Creek RV Park. It was just outside of Pigeon Forge to the west. It was a nice, quiet area, away from all the touristy stuff.

Hopefully by April Douglas Headwaters will have reopened. We were supposed to stay there in October and they were closed due to damage from Helene. We stayed at another TVA park--Cherokee Dam. It was very quiet and nice, although not as close to Dollywood as Douglas Headwaters.

We have camped at several places in this area since we live nearby. Twin Creeks is a good place but you need to be mindful of the bears, down the road is LeConte and then my favorite is Greenbrier. Someone mentioned the Ridges which is close to Dollywood and this is a good campground as well but more family orientated. There is a Koa in Gatlinburg that the new area they built is pretty nice and quiet. There are a lot of options in this area.

We recently stayed at a brand new (opened in Oct) campground Uncle Jim’s River Cove Resort. New, clean, and quiet. Convenient to everything. They were having an opening special.

Hi, we always stay at Pine Mountain RV Park by the Creek, about 5 miles from Dollywood. Realy nice, quiet RV park.

I second Douglas Headwaters Campground...it's about a 15 minute drive from Pigeon Forge... Nice and quiet. If you have a senior National Park Pass it's 1/2 off for camping. Two years ago it only costs us around $180 for 7 nights as opposed to staying right in pigeon forge for around $800 for a week!

We stayed at Buddy Bear Campground in Sevierville. It is away from a lot of the tourist-type places and fairly quiet. It is less than 8-10 miles from Dollywood.

Hi, we have stayed at Pigeon Forge Landing 2st and like it and have stayed at The Ridge Outdoors by Dollywood we love both of them. Depends on what side of PF you would like to be on. We have a 5th Wheel Reflection MBS324

We also camped at Up The Creek RV Park and loved it. Very well maintained campground. Close to all the things but very quiet and away from the traffic and crowds. Note that they do not have bathrooms or showers so you need to rely on your trailer for all bathroom needs.
