Camping near Dollywood

We're staying currently at Pigeon Forge RV landing. It's not bad. It's quiet even though it's right right behind the Titanic Museum. Traffic is a nightmare but thats the way it is here

We loved Riveredge in Pigeon Forge. Great location, it's close to everything and it's a beautiful campground

Search TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) Douglas Headwater. Quiet and a little away from the touristy area....

Check out parrot mountain just past Dollywood. This is a cool place to visit.
Just to clarify. Parrot Mountain is a great place to visit, but it’s not a campground. In fact the entry drive is so steep, you couldn’t take a trailer in if you wanted to. Well worth a visit.

If you are not familiar with the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville/Gatlinburg area, be sure to research the location af any campground you consider before booking. Some being suggested here, while being great campgrounds, might force you to drive through Gatlinburg to get to Dollywood - something to be avoided. Also try to avoid driving through Pigeon Forge on the Parkway as traffic can be bumper-to-bumper (Teaster and Veterans Parkway are good bypass routes). And avoid towing from Townsend into Pigeon Forge via Wear Valley Rd as it is narrow, steep and hairpin curves on the Townsend end. Just saying.
