Camping Near Kennedy Space Center

We are traveling for our daughter’s wedding in early November 2024. We are looking for a campground close to Kennedy Space Center where it will take place. Has anyone had experience in that area? We are looking for a decent and safe campground reasonably close as we will be going back and forth.

Second question is does anyone know of a good, safe dog kennel for our fur baby on the day of the event. We looked and saw the Space Center has a kennel but only during normal operating hours.

Not sure if this helps, but the campground that everyone raves about is the Jetty Park Campground. Good luck -- we've tried several times to get in there with no luck. So, we end up staying at the "Great Outdoors Nature and Golf RV Resort" (that's a mouthful) (https://www.tgoresort.com/). It's one of those H-U-G-E ownership/rental mega-activity RV resorts. That's not really our style, but it's close to the Kennedy Space Center so it'll do. (We'll be there again in February.)

No advice on the kennel, but the customer service people at TGO, as you might expect, are really good at setting people up with various activities. You might check with them. 1-800-621-2267.
