Ceiling fan for a reflection.

My wife and I will be placing our order soon for a 303rls Reflection, and would really like to have a ceiling fan in the living area. Is this something that could be done at the factory while they are building the trailer. Also we were wondering what kind of backing is used in the bedroom for the 2nd tv. If there was any specific hardware we should use.

Congratulations and welcome to the Grand Design family! A decorative ceiling fan is not an available option on the Reflection 303RLS, so we would not be able to install it here at the factory as your RV is being built. Generally speaking, we intended for an aftermarket swing arm TV bracket to be used (similar to the TV bracket installed in the Solitude front bedroom). Please PM your email to me and I'll send you information on the sidewall (backing)

Are you sure the Solitude has a swing arm bracket for the bedroom? I looked at one in OKC when I picked up my Reflection last week and it had a fixed bracket.

If I mount a TV in my bedroom I will not use a swing arm bracket. When the TV is pulled away from the wall it exerts more pressure on the wall mounting. The Solitude wall mounting had 4 wood screws holding the TV. I do not think a swiveling TV is necessary for the bedroom. (My opinion)

My compliments to Grand Design for an excellent owner's manual. This is the 4th RV I have owned and I have never had much of an owner's manual before. Usually just the information on the various components, which you include also with the great manual.

The Solitude does not have a swivel mount.

It is a fixed mount, but is slightly extended from the wall.

Has your dealership installed any 12V ceiling fans in a Solitude or Reflection camper at the buyer's request?

Nope.

Solitude has no clearance for the fan blades, as they use the 6' 8" slide outs.

Reflection is not much better, and its tough to pull wires through the ceiling construction. If you pull the power from one of the lights, they have to be on for the fan to work.
