Ceiling LED light lens removal help needed

We have a '22 2970RL with bugs in almost all of the ceiling lights. I have had a fixture pulled out all of the way to the hinge on the spring clips so that I can get a good grip. I still can't get the lens to unscrew. Nor can I see that the fixture is meant to have the lens removed.

Grand Design's parts lookup describes our LED lights as "LIGHT INTERIOR 3" LED W/LENS & SPRING CLIP", Part Number: 420657.



Anybody solved the debris in the light lens issue on this style of light?

Take a closer look.

They pop off, not screw off.


You will have to (carefully!) prise the little tabs holding the dome on away from the chassis.


(Look at the middle picture you posted and zoom in to see one of the tabs at about 11:00.)

Thank you..I’ve got the smae problem. I’ve been afraid to mess with them for fear of breaking something. So if I understand, pull on the fixture, the springs will fold back releasing the fixture from the ceiling, then pry off tne lens tabs. Is that correct?

Yes, that is correct. Watch your finger placement when pulling the light out of the ceiling, those spring can snap pretty hard. Won't break a finger, but sure can sting.

Ok, I tried removing the first one to remove the sawdust and broike the lens. Anyone know where I can get a replacement lens?

I added a light to our bathroom above the vanity and this matched perfectly. I assume they are all the same...
