Has anybody addressed the problem of the chair legs being short on one side when the table extender is in and the chair is off the carpet on one side. I am thinking of making a portable extension for the outside legs but don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone has already designed something cool.

Welcome to the forum!

That's probably a better idea than what I did on a previous RV. You could just put one of those rubber cups on the bottom of the two legs that extend off the slideout.

On a previous RV, I had a desk that was inside the slideout. The back legs on the chair for it sat on the floor outside the slideout. I cut the front legs down about 3/4 to 1" and it worked fine. But in that case, that was the only place that chair was normally used.

Many people use just two chairs at the table.

Thanks for the information Lingerlonger. I am thinking of designing a spring loaded extension attached to the outside legs that will extend when off the carpet and retract when on. Not often we will have 4 at the table (waiting delivery of our 27rl) but when we do it would be nice to have level chairs.
