My 2 year old grandson got up last night and unlocked and opened our rv door. Wow! Scared the Dickens out of us. That little red lever lock was no problem for him. He was headed out the door when I grabbed him up.

After looking at the door of our 2022 Imagine XLS 22MLE I don't see any good way of adding a lock. The screen door frame is very thin and stands out from the wall by 1/2".

What solutions are out there? I'm sure other people have had the same scare.

Certainly a concern, but you also have to consider the risk of someone being trapped in the trailer if something goes wrong. Waking up to a smoke-filled trailer in the middle of the night without your glasses is not the time to be trying to unlock an unusual door.

My recommendation would be an alarm on the door to alert you if it opens.

I think you need to teach your grandson to stay away from door at night. We camped with 7 children (3 kids, 4 grandkids) from birth to adulthood. I taught them all not to touch the door, never had a problem.
