Headed out today and going straight from storage 3hrs to campground. Considering trying cooling the fridge on the lowest(warmest) setting while underway. Partly cloudy day, 85 degrees, 660W solar, 2 100ah lithium. Anyone else do this?

Can’t figure out what it would draw while cooling to determine if this is a bad idea. Need some juice for hydro leveling on the other end as it favors the batteries.

Here’s the fridge sticker.

That shouldn’t be a problem. You have more than enough solar to operate the fridge. You also have some power coming from your tow vehicle. As long as you get some sun, you will most likely arrive with your batteries at 100 % SOC. If you have access to shore power when you arrive, plug in before leveling. If not, keep the 7 pin connected until you are level and slides are out.

You can also speed up the cooling process by adding ice. When my first Furrion fridge was failing, I would fill a couple gallon jugs about half full of water and freeze them. If you put one in the freezer and one in the refrigerator, you will cut the cooling time considerably.

Decided to just do it. 3.5hr drive with a couple stops for grocery/fuel. Got here with 13.2v per my meter. Would’ve been better, but apparently the solar wasn’t working the whole way here. Had a fault light on arrival and never made sure it was good before departure. Reset the the system and no record of any solar harvested today. Oh well. The fridge was cold which was nice.

Thanks for the advice.
