Well, I was checking the truck battery terminal for corrosion and used my step stool beside the right front truck rim/tire to get high enough and lean over the truck fender. Well you guessed it, I got distracted and forgot to move the step stool when I moved the truck so I ran over the step stool and crunched it but good! Looked like a drunken turtle laying on its back, with it's legs all curled up!
I need the step stool to also lock and pin my companion hitch. A trip to Harbor Freight and $45 later I have a new step stool, longer and a couple steps higher than my original. Crap Happens! I guess subconsciously, after having my old short stool for sooo long, I wanted a new higher longer one.
Oh, and now I need to rearrange things in the compartment to stow the new longer higher stool.
Lesson learned - Don't get distracted!
