Davis Lakes Resort in Suffolk, VA?

Haven't stayed there yet, have reservations for August 25-28 but we did take a tour a couple of years ago. It appears to be well kept and clean with a number of permanent vacation sites. We also looked at CG in Virginia Beach, (KOA, etc) but they were too crowded, too many kids. Whatever you do, don't consider Chesapeake CG on Hwy 17, run down, trashy, 98% permanent old campers, noisy.

Haven't been there yet. It is one of those CG that are in my "backyard" but have never gotten around to experiencing.

It's about 35 miles from home for us. We stayed there for one of the monthly campouts with our dealer. They have some nice transient sites, but some are in the field in the sun. Lots of seasonal sites around the lakes, which are a nice walk, have a spot where the dog can swim and a people swimming spot. We would definitely return. Don't stay at Chesapeake CG, we had our rig at storage there.
