Dead Circuit

There are three circuits in our 323BHS unit that are for the 110 volt recepticles. One says "GFC", and it's for the two plugs on each end of the island.

Another circuit covers the most of the recepticles in our trailer--from the ceiling tv plug in the front bedroom to the television plug on the back wall of the bunkhouse. That circuit is dead, and the breaker will not reset. I'm getting an electrical tester tomorrow to check if the circuit breaker is the problem. It's a small breaker of a strange design vs. one that goes into the box at home.

My question is about an unmarked 15 amp breaker to the left of the 20 amp breaker for the air conditioner. Does anyone know what that far left breaker is for? The rest are marked well.

15 amp seems to be lighting. What kind of tester are you getting?

I've pretty much tracked the 120V circuits in our camper also. I did find 3 circuits for the receptacles one of which is a GFCI for the outlets at the end of the island, the bathroom, docking station and one in the storage area door side. Another circuit from the hutch forward and the other for the rest in the living room area. There's also dedicated plugs on separate CBs for the washer and dryer.

If you have a circuit breaker that will not reset, it may be a bad breaker or could be a short to ground somewhere in that circuit. I suggest that you talk to JD in GDCS to decide how to proceed.

Hi Bamaman,

Our far left AC breaker seems to take a double space. No breaker to the left of it.
Have you checked that both sides of your 50 amp shore power are live. We have lost half our power when one side dropped out, but the other side stayed live.

My daughter is the original computer geek. She went outside and plugged in the head on my 50 amp line to the electrical pole. It had backed out a little. Now I have everything working. The outside circuit breaker connection would be the best place to start next time there's any electrical glitch.

I'm still wondering what that unmarked circuit breaker goes to. The GFCI I assume goes to the two outlets in the island and goes over to the television and the outlet above the stove. Next time I come, I'll bring my contact style electrical tester and figure the system out.

The other circuit breaker for outlets is 15 amp, but it has all the other outlets in the trailer nose to tail--including the outside kitchen's refrigerator and microwave outlets. That's really a little heavy of a load for only 15 amps.

The GFCI circuit covers the two in the island, the bathroom and the two in the basement. Code requirement that anything near a water source or outside has to be ground fault protected.
