My transponder did not have to be updated - only had to put the trailer in my profile as a vehicle. According to NY-EZPass customer service, toll charges should go directly to my account rather than receiving snail mail. However, I just logged into my account and can see no transactions when my trailer was pulled to Elkhart Nov 8th though I am told it can take months to post. Curiously I received a bill in the mail from MA, NY, and OH but nothing from NH or IN yet and the transport driver had his own transponder. The three states that charged me did so by photo of the trailer license plate.Okay, it must have changed; I have only had mine two years. Wonder if you should call first in case the transponders need to be updated? I wouldn't think so but might be best to just check.
