Delivery date

Well, pulled the trigger on a new 337 Feb 28th Indianapolis show. Got a "no problem" delivery date by April 10th. Got a call today, camper be off line by April 20th. We will be the camp host for 5 wks starting the 26th of April. This really upsets me, if I get delivery by the 20th. I am thinking tell me anything and get a down pymt/order. Now the waiting game.

Wife takes to a guy that delivers campers, and he said there is a shortage of drivers. Campers have been siting in Indiana for months waiting on drivers to deliver, good luck with your new camper!

Now,after a few phone calls. I have a new pick up date of April 9th. I can`t wait!

I ordered a 337 also on 3/14/15 they said 4 to 6 weeks to get it. Now that they have my money it will not be ready till 2nd week of May I am not happy. I told them when I ordered it I needed it by May 1st. I agree once the get your money you are at there mercy. This is over 2 months it should not take that long to get. I wish it was in writing on my contract live and learn.

I know that it's no consolation to you, but this is the start of the busiest time in the RV industry for producing units. The better time in terms of short build/delivery time is late fall/early winter when they have the least number of orders. Unfortunately some dealers will promise a short wait, not that they've checked with the factory, but telling what you want to hear and getting your deposit.

Edit: Sometimes you can 'jump ahead in the line' if the selling dealer already has an order placed for his stock inventory and they're able to change the order/options for your wants.

I would ask when it comes off line, I would go get trailer and charge them a premium for picking it up , if the dealership balks, tell them to deliver it when promised. By the way, if it is anything like are 303, you'll love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
