How do you find the towing capacity for a 2014 F150 4x4 Short Bed Crew Cab Truck with 3.5L Eco Boost?

The receiver on the truck indicates: Hitch Weight 500 Tow Capacity 5000
Weight Distribution Hitch Weight 1050 Weight Distribution Tow Capacity 10,500

If I use a distribution bar can I guess that this truck can carry 1050 lbs on hitch and pull a 10,500 lbs trailer?

The hitch max says 1050 so that is good but you cant tow a 10000 travel trailer
You could possibly tow a 10000 pound boat but you would be limited to roughly 7000 lbs for a travel trailer with that hitch weight

Along with the info that you just found about your hitch, the rest of the info you'll need are on the 2 stickers inside the driver door. GVWR, GCWR, axles, cargo, tires...
With these numbers you can use calculators like this http://changingears.com/rv-sec-calc-trailer-weight-tt.shtml. do you already have a trailer or shopping for one?

I can't speak to a Ford, but it's easy to get as-configured tow ratings from the VIN for RAM and GM trucks.
